# Resetting Your Password

> How to reset your Stack Events account password if you forget it or need to create a new one.

# Resetting Your Password

If you’ve forgotten your password or need to create a new one, you can quickly reset it from your school’s Stack Events login page.

## Steps to Reset Your Password

1. Go to the **Forgot Password** page on your school’s Stack Events site. The URL will look like:\
   [https://yourdomain.stack.events/forgot-password](https://yourdomain.stack.events/forgot-password)
2. Enter the email address linked to your Stack Events account.
3. Check your inbox for a password reset email.
4. Click the link in the email. This will take you to a secure page where you can create a new password.
5. Enter your new password and save it. You can now log in with your updated credentials.

  We recommend choosing a strong password that you don’t use for other accounts.

  The reset link will expire after a short period. If it stops working, repeat the steps above to get a new link.
